"You Will Eat Bugs and Be Happy" - The War On Meat and Why You Need to Support Your Local Farms.

- Jack Middleton, June 10th, 2022.

In the last decade, there has been a big push to stop world populations from consuming meat. From the "meat industry is destroying the environment", to Netflix documentaries on veganism, it is clear the "ruling" class have been pushing propaganda for some time to encourage us to stop eating meat. It has been in the last two years where the biggest push has been put into play and we are starting to see their plans come to fruition.

Four schools in Wales, United Kingdom, have begun rolling out a program, led by academics from Cardiff University and the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol), to start feeding bugs like house crickets and mealworms to children between the ages of five and 11. According to Fiona Jackson's article, these academics "wish to find the best way of educating the younger generation and their families on the environmental and nutritional benefits of edible insects, and in turn cut global meat consumption." (Jackson, 2022). This new "sustainable food system" will only allow "non-meat alternatives such as soy patties, cricket lasagna and other abominations, as decreed and dictated by those at the top of the pyramid who will never eat this same garbage themselves" (Huff, 2022). If this program works out how they are wanting it to, this will be the start to an absolute catastrophe to the health of the human race.

Since the beginning of time, humans have lived off an animal-based diet. From hunting animals for meat, to eating fruit and vegetables (that they either found or grew themselves), our bodies have evolved to thrive in this lifestyle. Diseases that are prominent today were never apparent back then and cavities in teeth never existed. According to Daniel Lieberman, a professor of Biological Sciences at Harvard University, stated, "The fundamental answer to why so many humans are now getting sick from previously rare illnesses is that many of the body’s features were adaptive in the environments for which we evolved but have become maladaptive in the modern environments we have now created" (Lieberman, 2014). So, if health was so great back then, why did things change? The answer: money.

Since 2019, the federal government pays a portion of the premiums for policies on corporate farms, covering 63% of the $10.1 billion in premiums in 2019 (USA Facts, 2020). Since the Great Depression, government payments fluctuated from $1.5 billion in 1949 to $32.5 billion in 2000. In 2019, farms received $22.6 billion in government payments, representing 20.4% of $111.1 billion in profits (USA Facts, 2020). Because the federal government provides such large subsidies, they can control what programs and loans are available to corporate farms, and have a voice on how farms should operate. This means if the federal government wants to start pushing a meatless society, they can, and completely stopping the production of meat will generate billions of dollars in new profits for large corporations from government-sponsored food campaigns that will "continue to transition humanity away from real food and straight into a new plant-based, meatless Soylent reality." (Huff, 2022).

This push for a meatless society has never been about protecting the health of populations, but simply to put more dollars in the pockets of the "elites". Take a look at the company Beyond Meat, a company in which Bill Gates is one of the largest investors in, and read the ingredients of their meat alternative foods. Beyond Meat's chicken tenders contain 30 or more ingredients. Do you know how many ingredients are in our chicken or other local farms' chicken? One.

These so-called "foods" are highly toxic and do not provide the same level of nutrition – if any at all – that traditional foods such as meat have for the human race. This push for a meatless society, with the aim of creating "sustainable citizens", will have catastrophic effects to the health of the human race. Only allowing the consumption of canola oil, wheat and rice flour, and corn starch will destroy the immune system and make people more susceptible to illnesses as the body will be in a constant state of inflammation.

This fantasy of a meatless society has to be stopped. Since the Covid pandemic, it became so apparent the average health of people was extremely poor. Cutting meat from people's diet will only make the health of populations worse. So, what is the solution to all of this? How do we stop these people at the top wanting to dictate what we can and can't eat? The only way I see this being stopped in its tracks is by teaching the next generation about sustainable farming practices and populations moving away from big corporations and purchasing their foods from local, alternative sources. Once governments decide us "peons" can't eat meat anymore, they will use their high leverage in corporate farms to stop the production of meat. Major corporate stores will stop the distribution of meat to its consumers and will only offer meatless and soy alternatives. The only places that will have a reliable source of real food will be local farms.

So, you may be asking "what can I do?". The first thing I suggest is ask "why?" to everything. On our farm, we question each other every day. "Why are you moving the sheep that way?", "Why are you putting the chickens on this area of pasture, but not this one?". Once you start asking "why?", you start to dig deeper and understand the true agenda behind this meatless society. Take a look at some of the largest food plants that mysteriously burnt down (Loosli, 2022). Why did this happen? Was it accidental, or done on purpose to continue the push towards a meatless society?

Next, go and visit a local farm, and start seeking alternative food sources. Seeing a local farm will give you a great understanding on the practices the farm is abiding by and allows you to decide for yourself whether that farm meets your expectations on sustainability. Most local farms are open to the public 24/7. If you a farm does not allow you to visit (or only visit on specific days), I would seek another source. As stated by Joel Salatin, "if you have to visit a farm in a haz-mat suit, you probably don't want to eat from them."

Most local farms' goals are to provide its community with higher quality food sources. They are not subsidized by the federal government and can dictate how the farm operates. The benefits of farming against the grain have provided wondrous health improvements to our customers and environment. Our farm is open to the public 24/7. We want people to see our farming methods and learn for themselves the benefits of consuming pasture-raised meat. Farms like ours cannot fight this war without you. So please, reach out to a local farm today and seek an alternative source of food for you and your family so you can continue to have access to real food.
